As we begin this academic year, we are pleased to celebrate the launch of the first cohort of the Haile-Scale program. Congratulations to the 40 participants who are starting this promising journey in entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Haile-Scale program is the result of a collaborative effort led by Vision Elements, in partnership with Google and Reichman Tech School, and supported by the Israel Innovation Authority. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to fostering diversity in Israel’s high-tech ecosystem, with a focus on empowering Israeli-Ethiopian entrepreneurs.
This milestone reflects the culmination of a challenging yet rewarding process:
Fundraising: Over the past year, we navigated the complexities of securing funding, bringing together key partners, and aligning their visions with ours. Special thanks to Solomon Geveye, the head of the program and leader of the Haile Fund, for his tireless efforts in building the foundation that brought this program to life.
Program Development: Designing a comprehensive program involved collaboration with experts across industries. The academic framework, crafted by Dr. Yossi Maaravi, Dean of the Entrepreneurship School at Reichman University, ensures that participants receive the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
Student Screening: Selecting the first cohort was no small feat. We received applications from many talented individuals and undertook a meticulous screening process to identify those with the most potential and determination to excel in the tech and entrepreneurial landscape.
We are deeply grateful to our partners, collaborators, and donors who made this journey possible:
The Crown Foundation team for their steadfast support.
The Tech Career team for their unwavering commitment to empowering underrepresented groups.
The Google team for their invaluable contributions and collaboration.
The Olim Beyachad team for their dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion.
Mr. and Mrs. Perlmutter, for their generosity and belief in this initiative.
The Stef Wertheimer Fund team for their support in creating opportunities for future entrepreneurs.
To the students: You are at the heart of this initiative, and this is your opportunity to shine. Your selection reflects not only your potential but also your readiness to contribute to a more inclusive and dynamic high-tech ecosystem in Israel.
Here’s to a year of growth, innovation, and meaningful impact. Together, we’re building a brighter, more diverse future for Israeli entrepreneurship. 🚀
